Study In Australia
Applications are open for Australian Government Awards for students of Africa and other Developing countries . Scholarships are available to undertake full time undergraduate or postgraduate study at participating Australian universities and Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutions.
Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age at the time of commencing the scholarship. An applicant or awardee should meet DFAT’s English language requirements for receiving an Australia Awards Scholarship.
The objective of the Awards is to provide high quality education and training to talented Africans who will be in a position, on their return home, to make an important contribution to national or regional development. Australia Awards Scholarships are currently being offered at Undergraduates and graduates degree level. Focus sectors reflect areas that have been identified as priorities by partner governments and in which Australia is recognized as having world-class expertise and experience
Students of participating countries can apply for the Australia Awards Scholarships. Asia, Pacific, Africa, Middle East
- Full tuition fees
- Return air travel
- Establishment allowance
- A once only payment of A$5,000 as a contribution towards accommodation expenses, text books, study materials
- Contribution to Living Expenses (CLE) – is a fortnightly contribution to basic living expenses paid at a rate determined by the department. From 1 January 2013, CLE payable to awardees is A$30,000 per year.
When you register online, Australia Scholarships Information System (OASIS) you will be required to answer some questions to establish your eligibility. You will then be given a unique registration number, username and password.
